Superlative football lover, an outstanding football coach in USA, a shrewd captain of his family, Ajit Shamser JBR is the epitome of elegance on and off the football ground.
To Ajit Shamser JBR, the future was always associated with financial security. That led the Jwalakhel lad to take further study in the most happening place of world, USA in 1978 A.D. He is now American by citizenship card but totally Nepalese by his feelings and thoughts. Ajit had come in Nepal with his two sons and American wife in a month ago. It was his personal trip to Nepal. His elder son, Anish Rana, who is currently playing his division football in NCCA being associated with Loyola Merry Mount University, get a chance to keep his name in team list with Nepal “Blue” during San Miguel International Cup. Ajit S. JBR is now happy with his two lethal weapons: Anish Rana (18) and Ajay Rana (12), Interestingly, Ajay Rana, who is already selected by Ajax, Premier Club of Netherland under the program of U-12 recruitment camp. Ajax had selected four Americans from entire the country along with Ajay. Ajit S. JBR is somehow associated with Kathmandu base Jawalakhel Youth Club. He provided some coaching equipments to JYC in 2001 A.D.
After all, Ajit, the soft spoken, having immensely knowledge about football is now completely settled down in California and giving his football knowledge to Youth Americans from his Bay Oaks Club.
Ajit Spoke to SoccerAgeNepal about the Nepalese football issue. Excerpts from the interview:
Q.N.1 You come from a Rana Family. How big an influence was your family to divert your mind into Sports?
Ans- It was a huge influence. More particularly is my father because he is the one who imbued us with a love of Sports. After 1978, I settle down in USA from where I start my football career along with my Study and work.
Q.N.2 What do You think about Anish associated with Nepal “Blue” team during San-Miguel International Cup?
Ans- Well, I had my desire that my son may play with Nepal team which became possible during tournament but he couldn’t show his talent because he stood in bench.
Q.N.3 The current Nepalese team have had an harass results in International Football. What do you think about this result?
Ans- It sounds really appalling to me because there are many countries in the world below than our economic condition but also they are developing their football structure. Nepal should do something to overcome from this harass situation.
Q.N.4 What are the things?
Ans- Well, Good coaches, regular training, fully professionalism and football caring environment are the things which can flourish Nepalese football.
Q.N.5 Is there any possibility to come Nepal as being the Coach?
Ans- Yes, Of course, I am somehow associated with JYC, if the things will go on smoothly, I can come here as being the club coach but time will say that.
Q.N.6 How is the football structure of USA?
Ans- Football in USA is very charming and its future is also bright. After 1994 WC, football inside the country has become quite familiar to Youth of America. As I am being “D” licensed holder from Brazil, “C” licensed holder from USA, I always try to teach modern football to American youth.
